Slawomir Lotysz

Sławomir Łotysz is a historian of technology based at University of Zielona Góra, Poland. He received his PhD from the Institute for the History of Science, Polish Academy of Sciences in 2005, and habilitation degree from the same institution in 2014. He is Secretary General of the International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC) in 2013-2017. He was a fellow of the Chemical Heritage Foundation, and a fellow of the ESF funded Research Networking Program “Standard Drugs and Drug Standards: A comparative historical study of pharmaceuticals in the 20th century (DRUGS).” He authored a book on contribution of Polish-American inventors (Wynalazczość polska w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Warszawa, 2013). His scholarly interests include: development of Poland’s industry in historical perspective, technology transfer East and West during Cold War.
